Named for the Dhivehi word for coral, The Muraka stands above the lagoon off Rangali Island, a two-level residence held between sky and reef. The seascape does most of the decorating; light moves across the water all day, and every principal room is arranged to watch it.
Interiors are kept deliberately quiet, with white surfaces, polished marble and floor-to-ceiling glass, so the ocean remains the point. A formal dining room and a private gym sit within the residence, a lift connects the levels, and dedicated staff quarters keep service close but unseen.
Three ensuite bedrooms sleep six, and an infinity pool runs off the deck towards the horizon. A spa lounge, tennis courts and further dining are moments away on the island when the residence alone is not enough.
