Built at the turn of the twentieth century, The Red Chalet stands in the heart of Armacao de Pera on the Algarve coast, carrying the easy glamour of the Belle Epoque with quiet Moorish touches throughout. The beach and the historic town centre are both a few steps from the door, yet the house keeps a genuine sense of seclusion.
Inside, timber floors and antique chandeliers set a warm tone beneath a grand staircase, and a predominantly white palette is lifted by considered flashes of colour. An open-plan kitchen and dining space is made for long, unhurried meals. Four bedrooms are arranged across two buildings, sleeping eight with real privacy, and a massage room and sauna sit within the house for quiet afternoons.
Outside, a heatable pool is ringed by sun loungers, and the terrace is built directly into the seawall so the ocean feels almost within reach. Central, private and unmistakably itself, it is a rare thing on this coastline.

The chalet stands right on the seafront of Armação de Pêra, a fishing town turned seaside resort on the central Algarve coast. Faro Airport is the nearest arrival point, around forty-five minutes away by car, most of it an easy run along the A22. We arrange transfers as part of the stay, so the journey is looked after from the moment you land.
