The Laslett

The Laslett occupies five Victorian townhouses near Pembridge Gardens, run together as one house. The character is domestic rather than hotel-like: soft greys and dark timber, good reading light, and walls hung with work by local British artists mixed with vintage curiosities found through one of the neighbourhood's best-loved antiques dealers. Tall sash and French windows look onto the surrounding streets, and the best of Notting Hill begins a few steps from the door.

Service is discreet and personal, closer to a private residence than a formal hotel. Room service runs throughout the house, there is a well-stocked bar cupboard, and most rooms are air-conditioned. What we are proudest of is the local knowledge — we know this neighbourhood properly, and we are happy to put it to work for you.

The rooms range from a perfectly formed single of 172 sq ft, its ensuite set on its own mezzanine level, up to the Master Bedroom Suites at 367 sq ft, where a super-king bed sits alongside room to work and dine and, in some, a daybed. Between the two are doubles and king rooms with desks, storage and gallery walls of their own. Every room has an ensuite bathroom, from large walk-in rain showers to freestanding baths, and roll-away beds can be added for families. Rooms sleep one to three, and we take stays here by request.
