Bad Foot (1985–87) centres on one of Basquiat's totemic primate figures, arm raised amid a scatter of collage, oil stick and coloured-pencil marginalia — a characteristic collision of anatomy, heraldry and private code.
Signed with the artist's initials and dated on the reverse "JMB 85-87", and numbered 1904 A-C in the Annina Nosei Archive.
